Evaluations

All new players to the AHA are required to attend an Evaluation. At our Evaluation you will be run through a few on-ice drills and then have a scrimmage in the time remaining. During this time our team of evaluators will determine what level of play you are best suited for. Free agent players are entered into the draft where Teams that need players have an opportunity to pick up new talent.

To be assigned a spot in an Evaluation you must register online or by mailing your Terms of Registration and $20 Evaluation Fee to the league office. Please indicate on your registration form that you are a new player. Don't forget to include the $20 evaluation fee with your registration form.

When you attend an Evaluation we request that you bring full equipment for your own protection. Please arrive 45 minutes before the Evaluation to check in and get dressed.

Players who played in the league last Winter may attend an evaluation but do not have to pay. Contact the Registration Coordinator to request the evaluation session you would like to attend.

We ask that you only sign up for the level for which you would like to play in. If you are unsure which level is appropriate for you, please contact the Registration Coordinator and provide your hockey background and we will recommend which level is most likely appropriate.
