2008 Intermediate Summer Instructional Program

It's no secret: the best hockey players have always been those who have been able to combine raw skating speed with an almost intuitive understanding of the game. The 2008 Adult Hockey Association (AHA) Intermediate Instructional Summer Program will offer rigorous on-ice skills training along with intensive classroom sessions that will help you to become both a faster skater and a more creative and resourceful team player.

Drawing on a pool of instructors who have playing experience in both the College and Junior ranks, the program will be focused on the development of skating speed/agility and lightning fast on-ice decision making. The program will be skating intensive and will incorporate overspeed skating exercises in order to help you become a faster, more confident player. The instructors will assist you with immediate on-ice feedback concerning your stride mechanics and positional play and will also employ video review sessions to reinforce lessons learned on the ice.

The program (eight 90 minute on-ice sessions and two 60 minute classroom sessions) will take place on Wednesday evenings from July 9th thru August 27th, 2008 at St. Louis Park Ice Arena. Cost for the program is $250.00, and you must be registered with USA Hockey. If you have any additional questions concerning program content, please contact Instructor@ahahockey.com.

Look forward to seeing you this summer! Register today!
